GOLDEN BOY
Serengeti, Tanzania 2022
This is a bold portrait of one of the most majestic lions in the Serengeti called Bob Junior. With his regal posture and powerful gaze, the lion rests confidently on a rocky outcrop, showcasing his magnificent fur illuminated by the sun. I called this image “Golden Boy” and hopefully you can see why.
However, before I was able to get this image I had to wait nearly two hours before he & his brother woke up from the slumber. Luckily, when he did wake I was able to get this striking portrait. Sadly his brother decided to look & move the other way so no images of him were possible. Patience & luck is so important!
The clear blue sky also serves as a perfect backdrop, enhancing the lion's commanding presence. This piece not only highlights the beauty of nature but also invites a sense of tranquility and strength into any space, making it a remarkable addition to your collection.
